PROJECTS

"The wonder House"

I recently completed a new commission with Full House Theatre as part of The Wonder House project, which launched at Wardown Museum on May 17th. Each artistist created a unique interpretation of a "house" through their chosen medium.

My contribution is be a biophilic, needle-felted house inspired by Luton's rich biodiversity and the joy of reading. Designed for the museum's library space, the design brings together elements of nature, storytelling, and tactile craft. Alongside the installation, I also delivered a hands-on craft activity where participants were able to create their felted characters and scenes.

Storytelling Through Objects: Travelling Tales Workshop

Delivered in partnership with Wardown House, Museum and Gallery, this creative workshop explores storytelling through historical objects.

Inspired by a Victorian travelling seller doll, participants design and decorate their own "travelling box," filling it with imaginative, strange, or magical items they would carry from town to town.

Combining history, creativity, and hands-on making, this workshop is an ongoing project being delivered with schools and home education groups.

"Bink! The Fashion Zombie"

The creative mind behind the brand "Brainbow Ink," entrusted me with bringing their mascot Bink to life, through the handcrafted process of needle felting. Brainbow ink is a determined artist creating vivid, vibrant art on any surface possible. So it was important that when creating their mascot bink, they had to be brimming with life...despite being half dead!

"Paper dolls"

As a selected Hat Factory Associate within the Luton Matters programme, I delivered a series of paper doll workshops exploring materials, storytelling and identity. These workshops were incorporated into Full House Theatre's Feb Fest and celebrated Afro-Caribbean cultural heritage, engaging participants in collaborative making and imaginative design.
